This is a perfect example of why we do blind tastings, the PromisQous Red wine is a delightful blend of Zinfandel, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and a small amount of other red grapes from California. We are rarely impressed with wines that have a catchy name but we were thrilled with this wine that sells at local Target stores for $12 a bottle. The wine is packed with flavors of black cherry, blackberries and strawberry jam with a long smooth finish. It is perfect for any occasion and is an instant conversation starter at any party. Pick up a bottle the next time you are shopping at Target, you will be happy you did.

The Purple Cowboy Tenacious Red is a blend of blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. The aroma brings memories of fresh ripe blackberries. The wine covers the tongue with a velvety layer of black cherry and strawberry jam. The tannins are subtle and very well balanced. A blend of Barbera, Zinfandel, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Carignane and Alicante Bouchet grapes shows a mulberry color. The nose is fruity with a touch of pepper which mirrors its taste. Once you take a sip, flavors of cherry jam, cranberry and a hint of white pepper dance across your palate.

This is an interesting blend of 45% Syrah 29% Petite Sirah 20% Cabernet Franc 6% Malbec and a touch of Mourvedre. The wine has a medium body with a mild cherry flavor with a little strawberry and a hint of red licorice on the nose.
